Why are they so adorable?

I was listening to bbc.co.uk while i was on my way home...it was reported about China's reform policy that their government would pay parents in rural areas who had no more than one son - or two daughters - 600 yuan ($100) a year each starting at the age of 60.

In Singapore, on the other hand, the govenment is providing a ''Baby Bonus'' Package, to entice more couples to give birth. What it means is parents will get a cash gift of $3,000 for the 1st child, and a cash gift and co-savings of up to $9,000 for the 2nd child and up to $18,000 each for the 3rd and 4th child.

Here's a video clip about Singapore edited by Zsolt, in which you can see more of the cute little girl in the above photo.
I found her very adorable:) and sweet!:)

Back to the initial note, what's gonna happen to those (Chinese in China) who long and love to have more children but is limited by their ''one child policy''?
Does your country have such kind of pro-family or population control policies?

interesting~~
i listened this news tonight.Um..i live in China since i was born. If you come to China, and feel the crowded cities like Shanghai. Maybe you will understand why the government tries to persuade more and more people have less kids. Of course, according to the policy, we only could have one child if we live in the urban areas.
But there are also many other social problems appearing: no reliable welfare policies. Most people worry about their retired life.( even me!! :D )

Um...i should stop talking about it. hee hee,i would talk the hind leg off a donkey!
and back to the photo, :P
cute girl~~i love the moment you caught!! great shot!

I loved the video! It's so nice to get to see some every day sort of life somewhere else. :)
It looks like a really clean and warm place. Wish I was there now -- it's starting to get cold here and it rained for 3 days! :(

wow, you are already posting for thursday? hard to catch up :D

well, from what i understand, in Hungary the population is decreasing i.e. age old death higher than new borns. The gov. came up with similar policy as you mentioned for s'pore. Money rewards. I think it reality the money is not enough to motivate couples to have more than one child due to the cost of living and education.

meg nakagawa,
that's a 'Japanese eating place' at City Link, they serves sushi, not sure about sake from those barrels:)

Olivier,
She's a sweetie, shy girl:) but i like her...
Glad you like this photo...

j.Andrew,
Do wear more warm clothing...Thanks for your nice comments...

Kris,
Money should not be the only motivation, having children is for a lifetime, the quality of life that one choose to lead...these days it seemed there're really more children. Couples give birth one after another, any measures will have its up side and down side, I just hope that it is for the betterment of our human race :) Moderation will be the best, not to an extend of over-population and extreme competition like what is happening in China

Sadia,
Thanks! And glad she cheers you up:) she's really a sweetie...!
