16,000 delegates - IMF in Singapore



About 16,000 delegates and observers are here in Singapore to participate in the Annual Meetings.

It was said that the choice of Singapore as the location for the Annual Meetings is recognition of our commitment to the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group, effort and progress made in the development of the financial sector, our pro-business environment and excellent infrastructure.

For the past ten days, I read some reports on the newspapers and many overseas delegates appreciated our transportation system other than the clean and green garden city!

well, the delegates better have said it's clean and green. would've been a waste of one month's road paving and planting otherwise :)

Bougainvillea is a genus of flowering plants native to the tropical and subtropical regions of South America from Brazil west to Peru and south to southern Argentina (Chubut Province). However, we also have it here in Singapore.
